After turning down the gain I am able to acquire steady boost over the rpm range. Sadly, turning down the gain results in a slower boost response....but you can't have both....or can you ? The original Greddy Profec b and newer type s don't have a boost line running into the controller head unit itself, and I believe they employ a single solenoid. Would a dual solenoid type allow more gain (without oscillation) and better response time ? Do controllers that monitor boost from a separate line track and hold the boost better ? My type s gain is set to about 20%...seems low, but any higher and I get uneven boosting (surging).
